Do You Really Trust AdF.ly?

Adf.ly is a link shortening service that has a revenue sharing program. If you use the adf.ly service and somebody clicks on the link, they would first be taken to an advertisement before they could view the actual page. You earn every time someone visits your links. Adfly basically helps you shorten URLs, share it on the internet and earn revenue from your link visits. 

Or so they say! Do they really credit registered users for views? Hmm, stay tuned let me share my little experiment with you. I am going to share my own personal experience. 

First of all, I was never using Adfly up until last two months. I used to hear people say it was a scam while others vehemently defended it so badly. Due to the controversy from both sides about this website, I decided to conduct a little experiment on my own to prove or disprove what "they" have been saying.

My Experiment
I purposely opened a new youtube page and loaded it up with two videos only. I made sure I never linked any of my new youtube page to my profile or my old popular blogs, this is because, I wanted the only source of traffic to this page to come from Adfly link. 
Next step; I signed up to Adfly, shrunk my video links, and used my Adfly links to advertise my youtube videos. I did some trolling with this adfly link on reddit, youtube comments and google plus. So I am guilty as charged for two month's trolling. 

Results
Okay, what were the results? I am happy to announce that my trolling paid off. My youtube videos from that new page received approximately 1000 plus views, but guess what, my Adfly account which was the only source of traffic to this page still reads 0 views. I am not kidding, it still reads to this day, 0 views! I want you guys to note that adfly was the only means I used to advertise this youtube page.

Conclusion
So, what are my conclusions? From my little two months experiments, I can say that I think Adfly is playing some kind of gimmick on its registered users. I don't think Adfly really grants its users the actual total number of views from the traffic they recieve. How can my youtube video have 1046 views and my adfly account is still telling me that i have zero views. Well, you do the math.
